Webscraping from google maps/places

Hi! I've made recently (4 months ago) almost the exact project. In my case was for a personal project, mining data from google maps and also from facebook pages. I was looking for breweries and beer-related places in a radius of 250 km from my city (San Luis Argentina) For example, the results that I've got were (after filtering, processing and so on) like the following ones: id place_id_name rating lat long 1 763af8 Pin Up 3.5 -32.7311268 -65.2922922 .... Then afterwards I've shown the results in a map and made some basic spatial statistics about it. The steps taken to obtain these results were: 1) Download geographical data (position of the cities of interest, in your case cities in Belgium) 1.1 You need to do this because the google maps api don't give you the possibility of getting all of the data using a big radius from the origin of the search. 1.2 For bigger cities you need to make a grid of lat/long points (e.g. each node 50 km apart from each other) 2) Using GNU utilities like wget you need to write the search for every place (in my case were approximately 400 individual searches) like the following one: wget -O [login to view URL] "$API_ADDRESS" 3 ) Parse the results from the .HTML pages 5) Present the results So basically the idea is to do the same. I think that two days is quite excessive but also needed to solve any unexpected problem that may arise. Thanks!
