Macro. I am a technical business analyst with over 15 years experience building solutions with Access, SQL, and VBA. What you are after sounds very achievable by using a loop to generate a series of random numbers. E.g. set the start date as a variable, generate a random number between 0 and the number of days between the start and end date, add the number to the start date; generate a second random number between 1 and the number of names on the list and enter the name in that position as the record. Iterate one thousand times while inserting. Question - does the ID need to be generated by the macro or can it be set using the automnumber feature of the table? If you are running multiple times then this will dadd some complexity as the macro will need to fetch the largest ID from the table to ensure there are no duplicates. Would love to chat further on this! Cheers, Katie
