Computer Aided Design (CAD) Automation and Data Formatting Expert (Creo Parametrics preferred, Unity 3d experience preferred)
Budget $45-70 USD / hour
The employer has products in CREO which are made up of individual components. Each 3D component (could be files sent by different manufacturers, etc) was oriented and placed by a CAD Engineer to assemble the product.
We are looking for an automation expert in CAD tools (especially Creo Parametrics) help create a script / automated tool that will take individual components and save them separately in a way that will retain the orientation.
This could mean transforming the individual components' origin and axis align to with each other and the system origin and axis, saving metadata about the orientation, or another method that you as the expert propose.
The deliverable(s) will include an automation script that will take the individual component (from suppliers or existing designs) as input, parse/transform/convert the data and save it as another entity such that when we import the entity into our Unity 3D system, the orientation is standard.
