We are currently recruiting for Analytics trainers to work on an independent-contractor basis in our Leadership and Management Division. Are you a wizard with Excel? Do you have a passion for turning data into tangible takeaways for decision-making? Can you explain concepts from statistics, operations research, and data management in an understandable way? DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Facilitate open enrollment and onsite client training.
• Serve as subject matter expert when delivering training sessions
• Conduct training sessions 1-5 days in length for up to 30 participants
• Provide feedback to MC after each engagement
• Facilitate learning according to the facilitator's guide and adhere to course objectives and schedules
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of basic and advanced statistics, operations research, decision science and/or decision modeling
Applied experience in analysis and financial or other decision-making models
Analytical thinking skills
Strong knowledge of Excel
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to present complex topics and facilitate participants' understanding
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills (relationship building, influencing, active listening)
Strong internal and external customer and quality orientation
Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
Education and Experience Required:
Masters degree in operations research or management, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field or a minimum of five years of experience as a practitioner
Understands and demonstrates engaging adult learning theories and approaches
Hands-on experience working with internal or external Federal clients preferred
Minimum of three years' experience in education or training delivery preferred
The delivery locations for this training are mainly in the metro DC area but there are also other U.S. locations that will present opportunities. Freelancers based outside the U.S. will not be considered due to cost-prohibitive travel expenses.
