This is not a flow problem but it it steady-state heat transfer problem. Can easily be done in ANSYS workbench as well as in Solidworks. Although there are certain inputs required. 1. Is there any other heat source except that 12 watt internal source? As the problem seems the only source is 12 W and ambient conditions at outside would be assumed. 2. There is a Tussenplaat (middle plate) in the Solidworks model. What is its use? Otherwise the the 12W heat can be distributed in areas of Xtreamer or and internal heat source of 12W is assumed. Both will work fine. 3. I do not understand the meaning for FOUR positions?? Should the model be Analysed as it is OR the Fins orientations be changed from Vertical to Horizontal? I am a mechanical Engineer and did my specialization in Computational Mechanics from University of Stuttgart, Germany. Hoping for a quick response. Regards
