I'm working on a project as outlined below. Is this something you could help with, or alternatively can you recommend someone who can? I'm working on a project to deliver a 3D printer and scanner package to British Schools. We are looking to create a series of example lesson plans to show teachers (tech mainly, but also IT and art and design) how they can use them. We are aiming the packages at secondary schools and higher. There are many links in the new secondary curriculum as outlined below, which we would like the lesson plans to focus on. As you can see, the main link is with Design and Technology, with some spillages into Art and Design and a minor link with computing. Computing: Pupils should be taught to: -understand the hardware and software components that make up computer systems, and how they communicate with one another and with other systems - can evaluate and apply information technology, including new or unfamiliar technologies, analytically to solve problems Design and technology: Pupils should be taught to: -develop and communicate design ideas using annotated sketches, detailed plans, 3-D and mathematical modelling, oral and digital presentations and computer-based tools -select from and use specialist tools, techniques, processes, equipment and machinery precisely, including computer-aided manufacture -investigate new and emerging technologies -select from and use specialist tools, techniques, processes, equipment and machinery precisely, including computer-aided manufacture -understand developments in design and technology, its impact on individuals, society and the environment, and the responsibilities of designers, engineers and technologists Art and Design Pupils should be taught to: -to use a range of techniques and media, including painting -become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques Do you think you could create a range of engaging lesson plans, mainly for secondary level, but also for A-Level age students? I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Oliver Shurville

hi, nice to meet you, my name is Kai, fulltime freelancer. I am an industrial designer for 8 years in HK. Have studied US for 8 years, obtained an industrial design from Pratt institute, NYC USA. I think I should be a person you are looking for. I am an industrial designer, studied some art in college, experience work on design, and technology, and last year I just DIY a 3D print, can provide info for secondary school material. (please see portfolio for my 3D printer) I think of giving a lesson plan that tell the logic of printer work, introduce general building process, explain a role of electric and software components. Giving example of existing 3D design, that I can depict a story from hand sketch idea, CAD modeling, slicing process, and finally printing it from example let say a solid pen case. I suggest simple software for easy learning such as CURA and TinkerCAD, and they are all opensource free, they are good and easy for beginner experience. Society impact can tell a story such as Makerbot and Ultimaker, how they grow and create open platform on internet to spread idea and concept around communities. And then come up discussion on future flow in aspect on technology grow. I will also have brief talking on some industrial grade printer. Some of those that I already familiar with from my past work that always needed to print design prototype. For the millstone and delivery date, can be editable. please don't hesitate to contact me thanks Kai
