Data analysis (CRSP/Compustat using STATA)

Details: - Using quarterly data from CRSP/Compustat merged and daily stock return data from CRSP - orientation to a specific paper regarding time range, filter, and procedure - calculate financial constraints index based on Compustat fundamentals - conduct an event study with given events (relating to monetary policy) - calculate value-weighted portfolio returns - Event study: run a pooled regression on portfolio returns as well as firm level regressions with fixed effects - regression results must indicate the same idea of results of the given paper (which does not mean that the regression coefficients have to be identical but rather imply the same findings due to the same data and approach) - discuss results, potentially test for robustness, ... Important: - we already have an existing dofile/code with the approach, thus, comments, commands, merges, needed filters, and all basic requirements (approx. 750 lines). However, the regression results do not indicate the same findings as needed, which suggests that something in the code is incorrect. - task: either support in finding and correcting the error in the existing code and conduct the analysis mentioned above or perform the analysis independently, but with orientation to the given code to speed up the process. - data will be provided
