SEO advice and strategy needed for simple content Wordpress site

I've a tiny and simple Wordpress website that is all about quotes and sayings, with my own illustrations added to the quotes. Basically a niche content site. The idea is to build an audience first, then eventually monetize it through products.
I've installed RankMath SEO plugin, but the warnings and suggestions it provides, makes me even more confused. I've the keywords to target, but not sure how to use or spread them across the site.
Thus, I'm looking for mainly SEO advice/strategy on how to best proceed with my site from here, what to do, and how you can help.
