RECORD VIDEO FOOTAGE ON iOS/ANDROID MOBILE DEVICE AND APPEND CAPTURED VIDEO FOOTAGE TO ANY SELECTED VIDEO-FILE ALREADY IN GALLERY.
A small simple module developed in React-Native / [login to view URL] which allows recording of video-camera footage on an iOS or Android mobile device and allows this recording to be appended (concatenated) to any existing video-file already in the device gallery.
1) Launch App…
2) Opens up camera video recording window with START/STOP button (or just one button holding down to record like in SnapChat). Should allow recording video of any length. No fancy video-recording features needed like Filters or anything.
3) After STOP video recording…
4) Open Gallery Window to allow user to select any SINGLE existing Video-File to APPEND / CONCAT new video recording to.
5) APPEND / CONCAT new video recording captured in Step-2 to selected file in Step-3
6) DONE message.
Important… This routine/module should seamlessly append / CONCAT new footage to existing video-file without needing to load old/existing video file into volatile memory to (re)save complete video footage stitched together. In other words, the append/CONCAT process should not be a very intensive process even if the old/existing video file is very big.
Imagine having a big 1 hour HD video file in the Gallery and you simply want to record and add another 3 minutes of new video added to this existing video-file… quickly and seamlessly.
That’s it. Simple task; simple module routine wanted; no fancy features or fancy user-interface needed.
All raw code / files will be required.
