Fix a notifications bug - Python/Django Rest Framework

An error on server side is preventing notifications to work in our iOS app. Can you fix it? When a user writes an entry in another user's timeline, the app is supposed to push a notification, but instead it's throwing an error each time. It's also causing problems saving attachments. We use a PostgreSQL database stored on [login to view URL] and the attachments are stored in AWS. The person who built this backend in Python / Django Rest Framework isn't with us anymore, and will have a bare minimum of time. So you will have to figure out most of it on your own. Do NOT apply for this unless you know that you can learn the API and figure out where the problem is. You'll be working with my iOS developer who is not an expert in Python. If you succeed there may be more server side updates you can help with.
