We’re looking for a PR freelancer with expertise on the US/UK markets, to support our agency with a Kickstarter campaign launch in the geek/games sector. We need support with the execution side of the project, which entails:
Media relations and outreach – securing opportunities as per the agreed campaign KPIs in the target markets (media verticals such as general news, lifestyle, pop-culture, geek/board games/table top games)
Identifying media and influencer opportunities pre-campaign launch (primarily press focused opportunities needed)
Client relations – liaison with the client as needed and weekly update meeting
Experience working with US media preferred, expertise with promoting Kickstarter campaigns/or the geek sector helpful, but not required.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of earned media coverage and media relations, and will be comfortable working independently, while providing the agency team regular project updates/milestones as agreed in advance.
The activity will happen across 6 six weeks (w/c 2nd Nov - w/c 7th Dec), and the total time allocation for the project is 6 days.
The project strategy is already agreed on and we offer access to a media database, and all the necessary assets (finalised press release, press pack, top newswire distribution). We only need support with media relations and execution. In addition, you will be supported by one of our Senior Consultants for strategic queries.
