Managing Execution Activities

Scenario You are managing the same project for ICT Success and are two-thirds the way through your current project’s designated time frame. A couple of issues are brought to your attention during the weekly team meeting. Both involve a member of your project team, the quality of tasks and completion time. At the meeting you have been advised that some team members are now behind in their schedule of task completions. The non-completion of a task by team member A has had a flow-on effect on team members B and C. This resulted in members B and C not receiving source files crucial to their weekly tasks. Therefore weekly tasks have not been completed for members A, B and C. When this issue had been discussed team member D then brought this issue to your attention: While the source files he received from team member A were complete, the quality was less than an acceptable level and he had to spend time making amendments to the files before starting on his own tasks. This has resulted in him also being behind schedule now; and he is not certain that the amendments he has made are an acceptable quality.
