A private practice psychiatrist in New York is looking to further develop the EMR system he currently uses and is hoping to do so with the help of an API specialist. The specialist must have background knowledge on API and must be able to develop an application that is HIPAA compliant. The application must allow patients to fill out a form/s and then send it back to the doctor through a secure/encrypted system.

Hi. I have over 20 years of hands on IT and telecoms experience including over 15 years as a developer. I have several years of healthcare informatics including the development of an end to end EHR / EMR system (work in progress as my own project although coming together nicely!) and I am well versed in HIPAA compliance having developed hospital information systems in the past before my current work on my side project. I am also familiar with API development (my core area of work in mobile apps which relies heavily on my own as well as third party apps) and also healthcare informatics standards including HL7 and more recently FHIR. I am in the capital region (Albany) but can easily come down to NYC for meetings. Project cost and timelines will of course depend on the exact nature of your requirements
