Is there any expert here who must have established a radius server for wireless internet authentication using PHP?
Here are the inputs:
====================
1. I have a WRT54G Ver 5 Wireless Router from Linksys
2. I have a ADSL modem from DLink
3. I have a Broadband Internet Connection
4. I have a desktop PC
5. I have a Laptop
What is already Done:
======================
The Braodband line is coming to DLink ADSL Modem, which is then connected to internet link on WRT54G via Cat5 Cable.
The WiFi Router is at standard IP address and can be opened by [login to view URL]
I have connected the desktop PC to WiFi Router using Cat5 into one of the 4 LAN ports of the router and I have assigned a fixed internal IP address to the desktop as [login to view URL]
The internet is working fine on my desktop
Now I open Router's setup using [login to view URL] and go to wireless/ security
I hv changed the security mode to RADIUS and fed in details like IP no of the desktop PC where I m going to install Radius server, i.e. [login to view URL] itself, a shared secret string, port as 1812 and set a password, then saved settings
I have downloaded a ready PHP radius script, and have changed server name as [login to view URL], port as 1812 and shared secret as to same string in the configuration file in this readymade script
NOW.....
The Task
=========
I do not know where to load this script, I have currently loaded it in root directory of c:apachehtdocs, so that it opens automatically as http://localhost or [login to view URL], but I m not sure, if I had to load here or somewhere else
When I open my laptop how do I get an authentication page??
Who I need?
===========
Someone who really has a knowledge of the subject in particular and who has established radius servers before.
Autobidding and non serious bidders pls excuse
I am willing to pay for the advice to the right expert
Thanks
I have a dedicated team and we have developed end-to-end Hotspot Rel1 & Rel2 for our customers. It includes configuration and module enhancements on freeRadius server for different authentications.
Though, I would confess that I and my team did not work on PHP radius service, but certainly help you as far as RADIUS configuration on your setup. We can demonstrate the functionality using FreeRadius and then look into your PHP service.
As per your posted description, you are hosting PHP script in HTTPD server, which by default will open the service in http(s) port. The service should be able to translate HTTP service to RADIUS as a proxy. for details, we may need to analyze your PHP code.
I would assure you that we can help you on this requirement. We can renegotiate on the financials after analyzing the actual effort of the work. You may send me more details (if any) on my email id deepakpanwar [at] ieee.org.
Hope to work with you on this project.
Thanks,
Deepak
