I am looking to have developed a facility access system that is managed from a cloud (public) facing web server.
Concept is simple. I setup “Clients” and the client can then login to the client dashboard and add “facilities” that in turn have “doors” which can be opened through granted access.
Clients are anyone that will use the system to manage their facilities and each door at a facility.
Facility is a location that will have one or more doors that can be controlled through this system and users granted or denied access based upon their credentials and permissions within the system. These will be managed by each client.
Doors is anything secured with a facility access control system (what we are developing here.) These will be managed by each client.
When a client is “on-boarded” we basically program a “facility controller” for them. This will be used to grant/deny access locally and receive updates from the Cloud Server as changes are being made. In the event the internet is severed, access is still granted or denied using the facility controller. The facility controller will simply not receive updates until the internet is restored.
From each controller, there should be a door system deployed to each door. Ideally, I would like to use smart phones for accessing a door. Such as logging into a website and as you get closer to the door you can unlock it using a button on the webpage. This would obviously communicate through Bluetooth.
Alternatively, I would like RFID or some other form of access to door in the event people don’t use smartphones. I would prefer a system that COULD use a 2d/3d scanner for barcodes/qr codes, but I would also like to use NFC and/or potential HID proximity cards.
Each facility controller and door system will need to be registered with the client account and we visually alert the client if each device is online of offline via a red/green dot next to the device in the client dashboard.
On your side, you will need to provide yourself the hardware to develop a working solution to test with. Additionally, I will need the parts list and links to purchase the hardware to setup a test environment at my office for this development. All work will be developed on my servers.
I will need detailed documentation on how to recreate each client, facility and bring a door system online, etc.
I will only pay out in milestones once the work has been created and verified. Please break this project down into small, easily verified milestones. Only once work has been completed will I apply payment and release to you. I will not put up money first. Look at my reviews, I pay for the work completed. I don’t want my money held hostage if work is not being completed, therefore I request payment terms above.
