Develop a blank Genesis child theme from scratch that integrates fully with a page builder plugin that I will supply. It is important to note that the page builder design will override the theme (that’s why it needs to be blank), we cannot have any other theme elements showing through under the page builder designs.
The page builder plugin should be loaded when the theme is loaded, or prompt to be installed. The page builder plugin will need to be rebranded to match the theme, and also some additional short codes added to the page builder plugin e.g. video upgrade, google map, optin box, social share, iframe, FAQs, textarea, countdown timers. You may wish to implement these updated shortcodes by integrating with an existing shortcode plugin (needs to be available from the page builder plugin menu)
Once you have created the genesis chid theme and integrated the page builder plugin, you will need to create a variety of page templates using the page builder plugin. These templates should then be saved and available if the child theme/builder plugin are installed on another site. I will show you examples of the templates I need. (You’ll need to be good at design for this part)
You will need to integrate with a wordpress activation plugin which I will supply. This will integrate with my server for activation of the theme / page builder plugin.
You will need to integrate with a membership plugin which I will supply. This plugin should also be loaded when the theme is loaded. Integration may include the ability to specify membership plugin settings e.g. protected pages for the page sets that can be created (see the paragraph below).
The theme / plugin will need to have a new area where multiple sets of pages can be created at once based on the available page themes from the page builder. You might be able to modify an existing plugin like Advanced Importer or Duplicator for this to work. The sets of pages will need to be able to be created and saved from within the Admin panel, and also a pre-loaded set of pages available when the theme / plugin is installed. The page builder plugin has an existing import/export functionality, so you may be able to to use this, and tie it in with Wordpress native page creation (however, this will be in bulk.) I’ll supply additional details.
This project is mainly about bringing a whole heap of existing elements together, with some additional development to make it all work.
Here’s what I’m looking for: You need to be able to update me as to your progress each day. I just need a bullet point summary of the work you have completed and what you are working on next. Failure to provide regular updates may result in cancellation of our agreement.
You will need to be able to show me your progress in your own sandpit environment.
You need to be able to use your initiative to progress the project forward. My time is limited, I can supply high level direction and will test, however I also expect you to test things before handing over to me. Your attention to detail is critical, I am expecting quality bug free solutions delivered. Nothing clunky, it needs to be elegant. The templates you design in the page builder need to be elegant and look classy.
Here’s how to get started, in your bid please supply the following:
1. Theme examples you have developed from scratch, let me know if you have worked with Genesis
2. Plugin examples you have developed from scratch (you need to have done both of the above)
3. Details of any integration work you have done with wordpress, e.g. getting 2 plugins working together
4. Details about your team and their skill set (single developers are okay if you can work on this full time and you’re a star)
5. Who your key contact will be
6. The timeframe in which you can complete this project
7. Please summarise this project in a couple of sentences in your own words.
Please address all of the criteria above in your bid, or you will not be accepted.
