Project Description

I need very simple Windows app built that will interact with my Dropbox account. The more simplistic the app is, the better. Its main task will be to upload and download files to dropbox through the URL links. The app will simply act as an interface between the user and my dropbox account with the ability to control what they have access to.

The app will not be made to interact with the Dropbox API because it has too many limitations. For example, no files in the “Apps” folder (which is required to be linked to all apps) cannot contain any shared folders.

Clients will interact with Dropbox through the website, rather than the Dropbox client software, so that they do not have to keep files locally of their computer.

Each folder in the Dropbox account has a separate URL. The app I require will be linked to a specific URL within Dropbox, thereby giving a user access to their specific folder. Different releases of the app will be for different companies and will be linked to different URL’s due to them being linked to different company folders within dropbox.

There needs to be a URL hardcoded into the source code of the app which will direct the user to their folder (URL) only. You, the developer must show me how to adjust this hardcoded URL every time a new company needs a new release of the app.

The App itself will need to have a drag and drop feature associated with it where by users can do the following:

1/ Open the app and have the content of their particular folder displayed in front of them, which they can browse through all of the files and folders within that particular folder.

2/ They can select multiple files/folders and download them to their local computer

3/ They can drag and drop files and folders from their computer to the App interface – the files will sync with dropbox if online, or this will happen once an internet connection is once again found.

4/ Users will have options to create new folders, delete and rename folders and files and new content in the form of icons or a list.

5/ There will be an admin password function whereby admin can adjust the root URL which the app will access

6/ There will be the ability to disable the delete/rename buttons in the source code for some releases.

More details can be discussed.
