PHP - fix email sending issues. Update bestseller feed on front page (not working) and free disc space from servers (delete old files)

Fix mail sending issues: the server keeps sending the same emails up to 50 times to new customers. Primarly the welcome email ("welcome til kidso, here is your username and password"). Also we have problems with sending newsletters.
Update "most popular" feed on front page (not working): Front page "most popular"/bestseller feed is not updating. Same products are showing. We need the code to be updated to work with our shop so that it displays best selling items.
Free space on disk: we currently 93% of server disc space. We would like help to free up some space by deleting old files. Help us make sure that the files we delete is not in use.
