I have an android tv box that runs my own version of kodi I want to be able to set up my boxes so they require a username and password to be able to access. I also need the ability to shut off/disable a box anytime I want. Im trying to protect my box content and need the login and password to start soon as kodi starts, and if the user doesnt enter a valid username and password the box will shut down

Hi! I am interested in this project. I have about 5 years of Python experience and recently experimented with Kodi addons development (I have a DIY tv box based on Raspberry Pi 3 with Kodi), so I am pretty familiar with the API. Concerning the implementation: login\password request is relatively easy to do; remote controlling (setting login\password\shutting down) can be done with custom web interface addon.
