I have a webform (html page) which collects participant information, and the receiving page (php) updates a database and sends a confirmation email using phpmail. The functionality works as designed but I would like to include a pdf as an attachment in the pdf to the participants. In a test, I have sent the email attachment which works fine when users receive the email using webmail but when the email is opened in OUTLOOK 2010, and the file is clicked to open, the pdf won’t open (there is a file which says the file may be corrupted). If I send the email a regular attachment from outlook, everything works fine so I know that the file is not corrupted. Online research indicates that there is some issue in encoding/decoding the file when OUTLOOK is the receiving email software.
What I want is the current file which does not included an attached email (simple text-based email) be modified to attach a pdf file which when received by the user using their email software (even Outlook 2010) allows the opening of the pdf without error.
I will provide the webform (html file) and the receiving page (php). Where modifications are made, full documentation/commenting is required.
