We need a very simple php script that will query an existing MySQL db based on our date search parameters and display a couple of columns with the results for each date.
More specifically, we want a page that will display a couple of data fields for each calendar date within the specified input range. The data in the db is in unix time, however the input and the display needs to be in human readable time. We will provide the specific search parameters to the programmer. Each of the two calculations is just a statistical count based on the activity for each day. One is a straight count of new records for each calendar day, and the other is a count of records for each calendar date which also meet an additional criteria.
When we load the php page, it should simply show a three-column table with all dates for the current month thus far, with each of the two calculations shown. Something like this (I'll tell you the labels later):
Date XXX XXX
11/01/08 121 283
11/02/08 139 347
11/03/08 146 389
etc.
Totals: xxx xxx
There should also be input fields in case we want to use a custom date range instead. We're going to copy and paste this information into a google docs spreadsheet on a regular basis, so if you know how to automate getting the data we need from MySQL into google docs, then we could go that route as well.
We believe this is a very simple script that will not take long to create, and we plan to pick a programmer right away to get started. Currently we're just doing these searches via phpmyadmin, so we want to make this easier. Please PM with any questions.
