We have a Virtuemart Shop and a Magento Shop running independently on two seperate domains/servers. We want to know if it possible to connect the two shops together via a live API, with the intention of displaying the products from the Virtuemart Shop on the Magento Shop and allow such products to be processed via the Magento shopping cart and subsequently send a response to the Virtuemart shop to alert it of the order. If the detail of a product is edited on the Virtuemart shop then such change needs to be reflected on the Magento shop immediatelty, hense the requirement of a live API. We do not want to simply migrate the product data from the Virtuemart shop over to the Magento shop, this is not an option. The two shops/websites need to remain independent
