Joomla site transfer to other server

I purchased a new website last week, and would like to move this to other server, at hostgator. I signed up and set up a new shared server, and all the files and DB are already transferred to this new server by hosting technician. Now this site needs to be looked into, becasue it's not working as expected. The domain name is not transferred yet, because we'd like to see this site up and running properly first. The site is simple Joomla with 2 databases, and the entire file size is around 150 MB. I'd like to get this complete ASAP.!
