Highlights features: The project need the simplicity of [login to view URL] reddit or similars. It have to add automatically the lastest published news from a desire list of sites like Slashdot, Digg, Reddit, Google news, [login to view URL], etc... Some are direct feeds but note that in others like digg we need obtain the original source (this is easy using their API). People can register in a easy way, only need user, password and mail. Then they can be able to upload an avatar (that will appear in their comments). They can submit new links, comment on, or vote it. Design must be extremely easy and clear. Links have to add the source favicons (exactly like at [login to view URL]) News are ordered in front page with the same algorithm than reddit (votes/time). Every vote add 1 point to the new, every 2 new comment add a point and every 10 visit to the link add a point (votes could not be cheat). After the winning will be choose I will send you more explanations and details, but all the basic are described above.
