It should be able to provide the teachers with the following: - Standards-based rubrics and performance charts - Custom grading scales - Online exams/tests (English and Spanish) - Custom marks for excused, missing, etc - Allow grades to be entered as grades or percents - Extra credit - Drop low scores automatically - Curve, override, and adjust grades - Independent study assignments - Show what the student's grade would be different if the scores were different - Parent/student log-in to view progress (English and Spanish) - Email grades and messages to students and parents (Automatic translation into Spanish) - Automatic alerts to parents if absent, missing assignments, low grades - Post homework online - Changes saved automatically - Undo/revert mistakes, compare and restore backups - Print reports for all students and classes at once - Intuitive and graphically pleasing user interface (very important!) - Alert if someone else logs into a teacher's gradebook - Ability for Principal/Other authorized parties to view - Import student data from a single data file in flexible formats - Export students and grades - Archive old gradebooks - Seating charts - Calendar and events - Discipline log - Class website - Sample lesson plans and ability to add more lessons - Curriculum mapping - Pacing guides A good example of an existing teacher grading website is - www.teacherease.com.

Deliverables:

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
