Required: a J2EE (servlet)expert with a lot of experience with networking (specifically HTTP(S) protocol and tunneling through firewalls and proxy servers) to develop a library for use in a thick front end that will connect to a backend server over the internet. I prefer to work with fellow developers that are conversant with design patterns, and write clean simple, well commented code that are easy to maintain. This project is concerned with development of libraries to be used at the client end as well as the server end. Components are as ff: 1). Gateway library at client end (Possibly Bridge Pattern design) This library will provide the following functionality: - HTTP/S tunneling - convert a method call into an HTTP request - Support both blocking and non-blocking methods (via a RequestFactory class that creates two Request objects - AsynchRequest and SynchRequest, for asynschronous and synchronous request respectively) - convert received HttpResponse to the appropriate object expected by client - Ability to merge several non-blocking calls into one request and compress data to save bandwidth - Ability to receive several compressed non-blocking requests and uncompress them into expected objects back to client - Ability to receive (tunneled and secure) streaming data generated from the server 2). Servlets at server end to process client requests. - For now, these servlets will not do any more than just print messages to show the appropriate method has been invoked. 3). Test Harness - Simple console app that allows user to send requests/receive response to demonstrate usage - simple command line app that simulates 30,000 concurrent clients - Servlet that generates 1.25 million floating point random numbers and "pushes" (stream) this data to the 30000 clients in a sort of "multi-cast broadcast". 4). JUnit tests for the functionality described above ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Linux Redhat (8.0)
