We require an Extreme Programming (XP) Development Manager to Create and Maintain a Development Environment for a non-profit open source foundation.
Successful bidder will need to administer and configure development environment consisting of:
Eclipse IDE
Maven
Subversion
Appropriate Plugins
The foundation currently sponsors two open-source projects on the [login to view URL] site. Experience in using the [login to view URL] environment and project management tools, CVS functionalities, Java, ANT, Eclipse IDE, Maven, and Subversion. Experience in Extreme Programming (XP) techniques and methodologies are required in order to manage development and ensure best-coding and development practices are adhered to by all teams.
Successful Bidder will be required to:
properly configure/create [login to view URL] file(s) for Maven
configure Subversion
import source code from two existing open source projects (Hipergate and freebxml) into Subversion for integration
configure development environment, Eclipse IDE, and provide subversion access to developers
ongoing maintenance, builds, and periodic synchronization of Subversion with [login to view URL] CVS will be required
integration of project management features (bug tracker, mailing list, feature requests, new developer adminstration) into project's Home page will be required
ensure all changes to source code are properly documented by developers
Firm bids only.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
4) Successful Bidder will be required to sign a contract for this work, preventing them from disclosing trade secrets to third-parties.
