Hello coders, My wife and I have been selling silk out on Ebay and we have decided that we want to have an ecommerce site built where we can sell our goods. One of the things we plan to do is to expand the goods we are selling so we need this site to be easily expandable (we now sell about 15 goods now and we will one day sell about 30 or 40 goods). We have a site registered by the name of [login to view URL] I know a very little about website design (enough to be dangerous *grin*) just from attempting to build a site of my own but I just don’t have the knowledge (nor will I ever have) of a coder. I would like a site that I can maintain but I will also pay you for complicated services and work that we require down the road. I am hoping to have some type of database built into this site so that I can change items and descriptions quickly and easily. I’m looking for a coder and an artist here. Since we are selling exotic goods I’m hoping you will create a site that will be fun and a pleasure to look at. You are the expert here not me. I have a general idea of what I want but I’m hoping for you to fill in the blanks. Of course I will post you as the builder of this site on the site so you may be able to get other business from my site. So if I’m successful then I would hope you would be successful also. I will appreciate your work. I’m looking for a great site here and I want to give you the flexibility to use your artistic and creative abilities with this site. Please dare to be different. However it is important that you keep this site so that it loads fast. This site will be picture intensive since the attention is on the goods themselves. Each piece will have approximately 5 different pictures associated with it. If you bid I would love to be able to see some of your work. So some links to your work would be nice.
## Deliverables
Along with what I have written above here are some of the other things I need. 1) A neat and really cool artistic logo for the company...the logo should include the words Chinesetreasure. We will use this logo on cards and letterhead and it will be one of the centerpieces of the site. 2) A multipage fully and completely operational ecommerce web site for my goods which people can securely purchase the goods from, which would include all the info I need (such as the the source code) from you so I can own and maintain this site myself. We will also need to be able to have shipping information built into the site so the customer knows their shipping cost. 3) I need help finding a web host site that will host this ecommerce site that you build along with having you get the site uploaded and working. Anotherwords I need you to tell me what we need in a website provider so that you can have the features (security and shopping cart) to build the site I’m looking for. Also you tell me what what type of servers are the most reliable so we can find the right web hosting site. 4) I need to have a good easy way for people to pay by credit card (such as Paypal and Miva Merchant) and I need you to make this payment method as secure as possible. 5) I need to get set up in the search engines and to embed the words that will bring our site up on a search. 6) I need you to get me up and on the internet and selling goods from start to finish. This job is done when the site is loaded and operational. 7) Also you need to teach me how I can back up this site so that I'm able to protect the work that was done (I have a DVD burner). 8) I would also like to be able to have customers sign up for a newsletter so I'll need a way to create a database that will send newsletters to customers who want them. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 4) I have Frontpage 2002 but it doesn't have to be built with that software...use what you think would be best for us both. Again you are the expert so I will defer to you. 5) If you get the bid we will talk more in the future by phone and email.
