Simple AppleScript or standalone app for converting clipboard text

I need a solution, perhaps as an AppleScript or a stand alone app (or any other idea you come up with) to the following problem: I am using two input languages alternately (English and Hebrew). Several times every day I accidentaly start typing away when one language is selected, when I actually mean to type in the other language. Currently, I must delete the "gibrish" text and type it again. What I want is a way to instantly convert the gibrish text into the text that would have been typed had I first switched to the alternate input language. E.g., if I typed "akuo", selected/copied it and hit a shortcut key (to start the AppleScript/app), then it would be replaced by: שלום And vice versa, if I were to type: פקשבק , select/copy it, and press the shortcut key, it would be replaced by "peace". I could supply you with a conversion table of Unicode characters in each language that will define the char pairs being alternated.
