MS Word to XML conversion

I need a program or script to convert a simple dictionary written in MS Word to a well-formed XML file. The dictionary consists of 26 separate MS Word files, one for each letter in the alphabet. The result of the conversion should be a single XML file. Each entry in the dictionary consists of a single paragraph starting with a word or expression in bold, followed by a hyphen and ending with the definition of the word or expression. Every file starts with the letter of the alphabet to which all the entries in that file belong. The program or script should install and run on Windows XP Professional in normal user mode. In other words I should be able to install and run the program without the need to log in as Administrator. I prefer a simple script that I can modify myself if the format of either the input files or the output file changes slightly. I use Windows XP Professional on my PC and unfortunately it doesn't support non-MS scripting languages such as Perl or TCL. Therefor you should only rely on standard Microsoft run-time tools and languages for Windows XP Professional. The user interface should be simple and functional. A straightforward command-line interface is quite acceptable. Examples of input files and the intended output file are attached (uploaded). These are just examples. The content of the input files does NOT correspond with the content of the output file. Beware of special international accented characters and other special symbols. They should all be handled correctly. UTF-8 character encoding should be used in the resulting XML file. All the example files contain proprietary information that may not be copied, published or used in any way other than is strictly necessary for the development of the requested software. ## Deliverables The deliverables should consist of: 1a. Preferrably a complete and fully-functional working script in readable form that requires no compilation or other special conversion in order to run. 1b. Alternatively a complete and fully-functional working program in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done in a common language such as Visual Basic, C/C++ or Java. 2. Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, such as a software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on a user workstation running Microsoft Windows XP Professional. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The program should install and run in user-mode on a workstation with a standard version of Microsoft Windows XP Professional. Common Microsoft applications such as Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer are also installed on this workstation.
