3D Game Studio programming feasibility study


We are seeking a programmer for help with a feasibility study. We will be using 3D GameStudio as the game engine, which uses a scripting language similar to C++. We are not looking for an entire game to be programmed, but merely a demonstration to show a few specific ideas can be implemented easily.

Demos can be found with a basic FPS frame to work with. What is

needed are the following modifications:

(1) Basic network client/server setup for multiplayer gameplay

(2) Adding 1st-person camera view and weapon use onto an existing


Imagine a MechWarrior-type robot. This robot will have one player

controlling its main actions, such as moving around and firing

weapons. What we would like to have is the ability for a second

player to join the game as a player sitting in robot, positioned

in the back and facing the rear.

This view will need an adjustable FOV during design-time and be

able to look left/right during run-time.

- Working client/server architecture for 2+ players (2 per robot)

- Entity modification to allow a 2nd player to "hook" into it
