I'd like to have a multi-threaded file uploading system developed for my image hosting website. Basically, I want a nearly exact clone of Flickr's multi-file uploading system. Please do not bid until you've throughly used the photo upload wizard on [login to view URL], uploading 4-5 photos at a time. If you are not familiar with that uploading wizard on Flickr, do not bother to bid. Here are some important bullet points I'd like in the development of mine: - No limit on number of images uploaded per batch (flickr has a max of 5) - The images do not all upload at the exact same time, but rather in sequence, like Flickr. Say you're uploading 5 images. When the first image is about 80% uploaded, the 2nd image begins uploading. When the 2nd image is about 80% uploaded, the 3rd image begins. Almost exactly how flickr does it. - There must be smooth-scrolling progress bars showing the actual upload percent on each image, corresponding to the number of bytes uploaded so far, and the total size of the image (I believe you'll need CGI to do this). - There must be a configuration file where I can easily change the destination folder where uploaded images are saved to. - This must work in a unix/linux server environment. - The system must look and work identical in Internet Explorer 6 (important), Internet Explorer 7, and Firefox 2. - When the user is selecting the images to upload, it must be a Flickr-style selection screen, where the user can select multiple images by holding down the ctrl or shift buttons. Each file uploaded must NOT be it's own browse box. - After the user selects all the images to upload, it must show a confirmation screen before the actual uploading begins, showing file sizes on each image, exactly how Flickr does it. From this screen, the user should have the ability to delete certain images, and not upload them, again exactly like Flickr. On this confirmation screen, there should be a checkbox that must be checked before uploading can begin, saying the user agrees to the terms and conditions. - If the user's browser does not have javascript enabled, the upload form should display an error, saying Javascript is required, and not let them continue. - The upload screen should have individual progress bars for each file being uploaded, and one overall progress bar with the current percent completed for all of them combined. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
