Sewing Machinist / Seamstress required to make (sew) cushion covers, wash bags and aprons Near Andover, SP11

Experienced sewing machinist / seamstress required for tiny design company looking to create small numbers of cushion covers (some piped), wash bags, aprons and other home textiles. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with a new company. Initially, the work will be on an ad hoc basis but we are looking for someone who might become increasingly more involved in the company over time. An enthusiastic individual, with a can-do attitude who brings ideas to the table but is also a hard-worker. Candidates must have their own sewing machine with overlocker, be able to sew by hand if needed (to finish a product) and be confident to try new textile product designs. A good understanding of fabrics is needed along with the ability to produce high quality sewing whilst working at a good speed. Candidates must be very familiar and proficient at making the first core products (cushion covers, wash bags, aprons). The company is based in SP11 so ideally, candidates will live near by.
