In this project, we will explore particle systems both visually and sonically.
From One to Many: an audiovisual haiku
Create a 2 minute piece (+-15 seconds) that uses particles to create a dynamic audiovisual system of cross modal relations. Start by writing your own Haiku using a a three-line format with 17 syllables arranged in a 5–7–5 pattern. Record yourself speaking the Haiku. Edit the recording into chunks to play back in Max.
Your Haiku does not need to be in English. If it is not in English please provide a translation.
Your piece must have a compositional structure and relationships amoung the sound, visuals and the Haiku that you can articulate.
What to submit:
a video of the output the Max patch (visual and sound)
one page documentation as a PDF including:
the title of your piece
the Haiku
a description of the structure of your composition
a description of how the visuals and sound relate to the Haiku
a Max project file
To note:
Use only the recorded sound of your Haiku.
