*MY BUDGET IS NO MORE THAN $750*
We are looking to create a cloud-based photo sharing app for both Android and iOS platforms. Due to our lack of familiarity with app building and programming, we can only describe it in functional terms, what it should be able to do. We are absolutely open to feedback from the programmer but there are certain functions that are not negotiable.
Everyone has a camera phone and we all try to document the special times in our lives. Too often, you are unable to get all the best photos because of multiple factors but the bottom line is, you cant be everywhere at once. We then turn to family and friends. "Hey did you get that shot?" "I had to run an errand, can someone please send me your pics??" Happens all the time at birthday parties, holiday parties, weddings, family vacations etc. We end up trying to send multiple pics to multiple people but wouldn't you love to see the pics your friends and family took of your child's 1st birthday or your brother's wedding???
Flash Mob is the simple, inexpensive solution to the "cameras everywhere" phenomenon that is such a big part of our modern lives. Picture this:
-You are hosting your child's 10th birthday party so it's a special occasion. You send out a text to your closest family members and friends, 10 in all. You have already installed Flash Mob on your phone. You open it up and create a cloud-based event folder, "Johnny's 10th" for just $0.99. You are given some sort of ID or passcode. You then text that passcode/ID out to your group. They also install Flash Mob on their own devices then the day of the party, they login with the passcode/ID. It's party time and everyone is taking pictures, which are automatically uploaded to the specific event folder. At the end of the party, you are then able to browse the 130 or so pics and are then able to download the ones you want to your phone. The event folder will stay open for 30 days. After 30 days, customers can then pay an additional $0.99 for another month or the folder will be deleted. Customers will also be able to create their own cloud-based photo folders, for a specific dollar amount so they can move the photos from the event folder to their own personal cloud-based gallery without taking up their phone memory.
We are sure that there will be other areas of functionality that are not covered here. We have a couple more ideas for Phase 2, scaling up to include direct transmission to a 3rd party photo printer like Shutterfly and Walgreens Photo. Phase 1 should focus on initial functionality described above.
