Printy,
Of all the freelancers I have worked with on here, your design ideas have been the most creative and professional. Therefore, I am coming to you for my next project. Our current logo is similar to another company's in our industry (we both use a whole body giraffe) and they have asked us to stop using our logo. Although my attorney says they legally do not have grounds for a trademark infringement claim, he recommends making a change in order to avoid costly litigation to defend ourselves.
What I need are three things:
1) A new updated logo created. A giraffe can still be used, just not a whole body, for example a giraffe head and neck would be ok. I would like to keep the girl and the current logo layout (vertical with the name underneath the graphic in the same colors as our current logo.) Although keeping the giraffe in some form (such as a head and neck) would be ideal since our customers already recognize us by it, it is not a necessity. Our initials "SR" or "S" in some form has been a thought, but I am not sure how good that could look. I certainly am open to your creative ideas and would appreciate your input on what would look good, as I am certainly not a graphic designer.
2)Replace the old logo with the new one on the print ad you recently did for me.
3)Create a banner ad in the same theme as the print ad you did.
Thank you for considering taking on this project. I have attached a copy of our current logo. I assume you still have access to the print ad you did for us from our last project together, but If you need me to send you a copy I would be happy to.
