Install script to Install RPM based Labview on Linux Mint

Hello, >there are no icons or menu items to start the program It's easy to change with "XDG Desktop Entry" and "Debian Menu System". I will create a script which will convert RPMs packages to DEB with creation one additional package, which will contain all necessary settings. This will make it easy to remove the software when it will be necessary. Script will have option to install packages automatically (after conversion) or you will be able to do it manually. Hi, Thanks for sharing the complete details. Although alien convert RPM package in DEB but it can't guarantee that converted DEB package will run properly . Each Linux distribution has their own dependency and configuration. Best way is software provider should build DEB package from source code. I will suggest to use Virtualbox or any other VM solution and Install CentOS7 in VM in Linux Mint, then intall LabVIEW on CentOS7. If you need help in that then I can provide that. This is definitely something I can investigate and automate for you in a week's worth of free time. Would have to download Mint unless CentOS is acceptable.
