I have a dedicated server with 1and1 and am currently running a project on it. We started being unable to add files to the system, saying we ran out of space. I am told we need to increase the logical volume of the /var folder to a higher storage space, as seen in the link below:

I have SSH access, but I am unsure how to do this myself, and the directions above are unclear to me. I need a quick and knowledgable server admin to aid in this.
