Website Refresh

I have a website that was originally generated using a WYSIWIG and shows it. I need the site refreshed to look like it was done with JavaScript. It's not just a matter of generating the code to display the page. It's adding a look that “feels” like the website demands and which requires an artistic presents that I lack.

Currently I have two feeds of 24 X 7 live nature streaming audio at [url removed, login to view] in stereo, no commercials. One is by a lake close to Austin TX USA and the other comes from Costa Rica. I intend to add more. The next sound source site may also include video with the audio.

The website is currently hosted by GoDaddy. My thoughts are to have someone generate the htm files for the new pages and I would up load them.

Look over the website and give me your ideas about how the website should look. Impress me and get the project.

Features needed:

A way to select the different streams -

a) What I would like to add to each stream option is an input box for the listener to enter their time zone. Once their time zone is entered, the best listening times for their location to listen is displayed. I made this function using Python, but it needs to be converted to JavaScript.

b) Currently both the streams are in the same time zone. We also have the need to enter a different reference time zone for each stream based on it's location. Each stream has it's optimal listening times which tend to be early morning from about an hour before sunrise to about an hour after sunrise.

c) Another piece of information I want on each stream is to read from the streaming server the number of listeners and the number of countries they are from from the last 30 days.

The other general information pages on the website will be update and all pages will maintain a common “look and feel”. I will be responsible for content.

Currently the stream links look like: “[url removed, login to view]” to work with Internet Explorer. For the stream to work with Chrome the address needs to be: “[url removed, login to view]” leaving off the .m3u. So we need two links to click on for each stream. One for IE and one for everyone else.

One idea for the back ground was to capture the Google Maps image with Satellite mode on of the Costa Rica location: 80 52' 3.90”N 830 16' 37.54”W. Enter the location, turn on satellite mode and zoom out a couple steps. Should see a house next to a road. But don't let this idea impede your creative thought process. It's just an idea.

I will provide updates material for the produce page because I have figured out how to package the technology into a much smaller package at a greatly reduced price.

Since I have been burn with paying some percentage up front and I know there are developers that will work without up front payment, those are the developers this opportunity is available to. Once I fund the project through Freelancer, I no longer have access to those fund unless the developer releases those fund back to me or through the dispute process. Since this is a relatively small project, I will release 100% of the funds when 100% of the project is completed, debugged and I am 100% satisfied (Just like Freelancer advertises). Since I am the tester, I will be allowed the same amount of time to test as it takes to write the application. Most likely I will not take that long to test but refuse to release funding till I finish testing. I will test intermediate levels of code for verification as needed and provide feedback. I will give an over all project verbal description if requested and answer any question related to this project.

My goal is for my projects to be a win-win situation for me and the people involved with this project.
