Robot Mascot Design for Gadget / Toy Business [also a logo]

Hi there. I have been let down on this project that I awarded to someone else, so I have had to set out more strict criteria this time around. In Spring 2011, we are going to launch [login to view URL] - an exciting new business stocking cool Toys and Gadgets. We would like a talented and created designer to develop us a mascot that will heavily contribute to the branding of the business. The type of Robot we would like created is in the attached image. This robot will be used in many different ways, therefore we are looking to develop a positive business relationship with a designer - we need someone who we can easily contact in the future to do future poses and designs of the robot you create. [this is the MOST important part of this job] The only specific for the actual design of the robot is: - Friendly personality and look. - Suit the design of the website. - Include some of the colours for the website. - Have a screen in the body where it can display messages to communicate with others [as it won't have a mouth] - Can be easily designed in different poses and positions for future business needs. Due to us being let down before, the person that gets this job will need to meet the following criteria. As I have found that alot of people talk a good game, but don't actually possess the skills necessary to create something from scratch, - You must contact us with a concept design / scetch of the robot. The scetch must be 100% unique and show the robot in different poses. [We ask this as many people on here just send things they have found on google or made with simple online tutorials]. - You must possess good communication skills and communicate effectively with us as we need someone that is going to be easy to contact for future work. - You must be creative and understand what we are trying to acheive a business. - You must come to me with a good pitch and concept. The deadline for the design will be the 21st of January. This is the same date that monies will be paid to the winning freelancer. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
