Graphic Designer (Remote, contract to perm)

Company Description L&T is a startup in the content marketing space focused on delivering high quality brand journalism to companies all over the world. With operations in New York and the United Kingdom and clients spread across two continents, we are looking for a freelance SEO Analyst to join our small, dynamic, and quickly expanding team on a contract to perm basis at 20-30 hours per week in the interim. What You’ll Do Design clear, engaging graphic communications for print and the web. This will include logos, direct mail pieces, branded promotional items, website-specific and social media graphics, posters, flyers, and other marketing materials as needed. Manage web, print, and creative marketing projects from concept to completion. Create and/or manage digital assets (graphics, illustrations, and photography). Design landing pages, microsites, interactive content, and more Use design to solve real-world problems and deliver results that will impact company-wide goals Self-manage a wide variety of projects, deadlines, and (internal) clients Reviewing, concepting, and executing editorial illustration requests for Content team, working quickly and closely with the C-suite to finalize art that is in line with desired aesthetic and to translate content into engaging and relevant visual representations. Working in a detail-oriented fashion by delivering projects according to initial specs and requirements Working quickly and efficiently, ensuring all projects are delivered on deadline, and in line with the L&T brand vision. Who You Are You’re a mega-talented designer who’s one part visual/graphic designer, one part web designer, and one part problem-solver You’re a design geek: You follow industry leaders, voraciously consume blogs and feeds, and have ten sources of inspiration at your fingertips Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop and/or other common design and layout applications Make that stellar responsive design skills (your thoughts are organized by break points!) Have experience designing for conversion Killer communication skills (both written and verbal), otherwise known to your internal clients as your “bedside manner” Proficiency with HTML and CSS 3+ years of graphic design and illustration experience with an established digital company, online media publication, or ad agency A strong balance of identity, typography, layout, and illustration design skills Strong desire to develop creatively and push the L&T visual brand forward Compensation/perks/benefits 100% remote and flexible hours as long as deadlines are met Competitive hourly rate of $15/hour 20-30 hours per week with the possibility of converting to full time based on quality of work and the evolving needs of our business
