We publish org charts for companies in the media and advertising sector. We don't find suitable applications. Typically the designs are clunky and many do not auto-update with new data. We want neat clean custom designs for our clients but ones we can update automatically from name and contact data held in a spreadsheet. Right now I am interested to hear from people experienced in org chart design or GraphML as to how they would approach this task. I imagine it could be one week's work to interpret the structures in media owner sales teams (digital, print, audiovisual, creative services, senior managers) and output suitable templates. I think pulling in the data to the relevant boxes may be straightforward but I don't know. I would be interested to hear proposals from designers. Examples of previous work are essential. The work and IP will belong to us on handover.

I would use a Visio or other graphical front end protocol which I have used in the past to incorporate automated data - Excel, Doors, any number of programs can work for the front end also, but Visio or Excel are nice as they are standard MS Office sw and easily compatible across most client OS / environments - and then apply either an SQL or custom API automation protocol for the middle piece, running to your back-end excel sheet or whatever db you wish. I added in time cushion but that is only to account for other projects and juggling them. Your work may be able to be completed in just 2 to 3 days. My company has often done work in the UK and we actually specialize in higher-end software and innovation work, as well as creative design. Cheers!
