READ BEFORE BIDDING: Automate a google sheet checkboxes and list results. Use Google Apps Script

We have a google sheet we use to get selections from clients. Currently only category checkboxes work to select each group (See screenshot and google sheet link). We need both group checkboxes to set state to ON or OFF and we need the individual checkboxes to work. Also all checked items should appear in the "Selected states" and "Selected Industries" columns. It should be real-time and not reply on pressing a button. There is also a similar structure needed on the tab "contact selection". The link to view the sheet is here. Make you own copy so you have edit ability and can test it.
You will need to use google apps script to make this work.

General Behavior of how sheet should work (READ)
example: checking "Agriculture" should add
Dairy
Farming
Fishery
Ranching
Unchecking Agriculture should uncheck
Dairy
Farming
Fishery
Ranching
Also, individual items should be able to be checked/unchecked.
All items appear in the list associated with the section. No blank lines in the lists.
