Hi there! I’m Deborah and I’d be delighted to do the final edit for your memoir! You say this is a ‘final edit’, but what exactly are you looking for from it? A final check on grammar etc? That the feeling-tone is consistent throughout? That there are no ‘missing bits’? That the language is simple enough/appropriate? That there is a sense of impetus throughout? OR … ? I can do all of those, but your answer will affect the edit obviously! I am a native English speaker and an experienced non-fiction editor. Apart from accuracy of grammar and punctuation etc, my work is marked by simple but non-clichéd language choices. I aim for good sentence flow. At the same time, I am very sensitive to the nuances of the English language. You can see examples of my non-fictional editing/proofreading in Samples 1-4 in my Freelancer Portfolio. I have also done a lot of academic editing/proofreading, but I can’t show you as those writers require anonymity. I suggest two Milestones: editing and a proofread. Would you like to see/check/possibly tweak the memoir between the initial editing and the final proofread?
