Categorize some data in MS Access VBA program

If you know VBA, MS Access 2016 then this is easy for you! 1. Import: Form to import data from a csv file and puts it in a temp table. Data is always in same format. 2. a) Categorize: The data from 1 above in one of the fields contains a bit of string that you need to use to categorize it. b) Categorize 2: form shows you the data record by record and tries to match it with the same text in a category table (category table would only contain a substring of the string in the data table). c) If matched, the program adds all the values in the matching row from category table to the data and puts that new data in a "review" table. The original data gets appended to a "processed" data table d) if unmatched, the program asks the user to categorize it with the option to remember the categorization for future. The user is asked which part of the data string is to be used for categorization. Then this is added to the category table. e) Review stage: when temp table is empty, the "review" table is shown just to double check. User can make any adjustments as necessary. Categories values in the category are all from drop downs boxes sourced from data tables. This could be a subform on a form - user is asked to hit ok when done, this action ***appends*** all data from review table to categorized table and closes the form. e) Quality control: Once all the above is working, we can add the quality control stage - it won't add to the categorized table if a string made up of all the values concatenated together from import data matches anything else in the categorized database. It will be the easiest if we just do each stage separately.
