IF-AND-OR Excel Formula working for some cells but not others

Hi - I have an IF-AND-OR Excel formula that is working for some cells, but not others. Here is the formula that works: =IF(AND(OR($B8=1, $B8=2), $D8="F", $E8="L"), $A8) B8 can have a value of 1 thru 9; D8 can have a value of "B", "L", "DF", or "F"; and E8 can have a value of "S", "M", or "L". If this combination of scenarios occurs, then show the value of A8. Here is the formula that does not work: =IF(AND(OR($B2=3, $B2=4), $D2="L", $E2="M"), $A2) B2 can have a value of 1 thru 9; D2 can have a value of "B", "L", "DF", or "F"; and E2 can have a value of "S", "M", or "L". If this combination of scenarios occurs, then show the value of A2. Same formula as the formula that works, same logical test. Could there be a formatting issue on the data that's being pulled from the targeted cells? That said, all of the data was copy and pasted from another sheet, so these values were not entered organically. Thanks, Dean
