I have an OFDM system where each sample after the IFFT is shaped by two different pulse shapes depending on the polarity of the sample. The system is suffering from discontinuity and needs filtering.
I need someone to simulate the system in Matlab and to estimate the required bandwidth of the system.
The details of the OFDM system, -the samples are generated using Hermitian Symmetry +IFFT. -the bipolar samples after the IFFT are pulse shaped depending on the polarity of the samples. -if the samples are positive, shape two is used, and if the samples are negative, then shape one is used. what is required is to do the following: -Simulate the OFDM in Matlab. -Plot the signal in the time and frequency domain. -Estimate the bandwidth of the system (to evaluate it, you may need to generate a figure similar to fig.7 in "Effective information rates of single-carrier and multi-carrier modulation schemes for bandwidth constrained IM/DD systems"). The work should be done in two weeks.
