Project description summary:
We are trying to develop a Programmable Battery Charge Discharge device. The device consists of power modules which will charge or discharge the battery. There can be up to six channels where the user can connect their batteries. In other words the user can connect one battery in each channel and is able to charge and discharge with a pre-defined current. How it can be charged or discharged will be programmed either from touch screen or from web interface.
Supported battery types : Lithium-ion, Lead Acid
Automatic Battery voltage detection, 3.3V, 3.7V 12V,24V,48V and 72V (If possible)
Number of channels where the batteries can be connected - 2-6
Max programmable charger current pro channel 5-100A (Charge Profile, CC-CV)
Max Programmable discharge current pro channel 5-300A
Programming interface - Touch screen
How user enters data (can be done both from touch screen or from web interface):
Step 1. User chooses no. of charge,discharge cycles, for example 1 means, one time charge and one time discharge
Step 2. User chooses charge current
Step 3. User chooses discharge current
Step 4. User starts the cycle
System shows in touch display: channel status (charge or discharge or idle)
Battery voltage if charged or discharged
Battery temperature (if possible)
Ambient temperature (if possible)
System stores data of each channel in database.
System provides web interface where the data can be represented in various reports.
System provides LAN and Wifi Interface.
