Headed ski boots are powered by two 1000 ma Lithium Ion batteries. The board to which they are connected turns the power on/off. The circuit has 3 levels of heat - low, medium and high.
The circuit boards have blue tooth connectivity. Each board (boot) can be controlled by your iphone if you have the app. (See Thermic-HC in the iphone store for example of this app) These boards are already in production.
My project is to add an enhancement to the existing board. The feature we want to add is a cycle count. We want the circuit board capable of counting recharge cycles.
The ski boots will be ready to use right out of the box. Charge the batteries and go. We want to give the owner 3 free sessions with the heat. Then lock it out so it is no longer able to be plugged in and recharged. The skier would then have to come to the website and receive a code to unlock the board so it could be recharged. There could be different levels of purchase - a 10 package, a 20 pack and unlimited. Basically we would add this code to the existing board.
