Model racing slot-‐cars consist of model cars with internal motors and conductors mounted underneath the car which make contact with metal conductors on a continuous track. Power is applied to the motor via hand held throttle switches which are connected to the track. This project is based upon the Scalextric model car setup but instead if using throttle switches, the speed of the cars around the track will be controlled by audio sound levels. The aim is to design a system which can convert sound levels into drive currents to power slot-cars around a racing track.
It is needed that the sound levels are converted into the current and rive motor circuits.
